Dr.Naif Bin Jassim Al-Abduljabbar, Consul General of the State of Qatar in Istanbul, met with Mr. Saeed bin Saqr Al-Muhairi, Consul General of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, during a cordial introductory visit to discuss areas of mutual interest.

Dr.Naif Bin Jassim Al-Abduljabbar, Consul General of the State of Qatar in Istanbul, attended an iftar reception at Ibn Haldun University, and visited an exhibition by Qatari calligrapher Rashid Mubarak Al-Muhannadi marking the completion of the transcription of the Holy Qur’an at Süleymaniye Mosque.

H.E. Mr. Davut Gül, Governor of Istanbul, received H.E. Dr. Naif Bin Jassim Al-Abduljabbar, Consul General of the State of Qatar in Istanbul, on the occasion of his assumption of duties, and discussed enhancing coordination, particularly in consular services.

In Istanbul, the “Al Wakrah” and “Al Ghariyah” vessels of the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces, manufactured by Türkiye’s Dearsan, were commissioned under the Halul (11) project, in the presence of senior Qatari and Turkish officials.

The Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Istanbul received H.E. Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Hanzab during his visit to the Consulate, where he was briefed on consular operations and services, and discussed avenues to enhance joint cooperation.

The State of Qatar participated in the “Second OIC Conference of Ministers of Transport and Communications,” held in Istanbul on 11–12 February 2026, represented by Dr. Naif bin Jassim Al-Abduljabbar, with the participation of Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Nuaimi.

H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, took part in an academic event at Istanbul University, delivering a lecture titled “The Practice of Mediation: The Qatari Example,” attended by the University President, the Consul General, and academics and students.
