H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, participated in an academic event hosted by Istanbul University, in the presence of H.E. Professor Dr. Osman Bulent Zulfikar, President of the University, H.E. Dr. Naif bin Jassim Al-Abduljabbar, Consul General of the State of Qatar in Istanbul, and a number of academics and students

During the event, His Excellency delivered a lecture entitled “The Practice of Mediation: The Qatari Example,” in which he reviewed the approach adopted by the State of Qatar in the field of international mediation and highlighted the key pillars underpinning its policy of resolving disputes through peaceful means, reflecting Qatar’s steadfast commitment to supporting dialogue and promoting international peace and security

His Excellency also addressed the importance of partnership between diplomatic efforts and academic institutions, and the vital role universities play in supporting mediation pathways and fostering a culture of dialogue.

This event comes within the framework of strengthening academic and diplomatic relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Türkiye, and expanding horizons for joint cooperation in the fields of research and international dialogue
