Dr.Naif Bin Jassim Al-Abduljabbar, Consul General of the State of Qatar in Istanbul, attended the iftar reception hosted at Ibn Haldun University, in the presence of Professor Mr. Atilla Arkan, President of Ibn Haldun University; Professor Dr. Irfan Gündüz, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees; and Mr. Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees.


The occasion took place in a cordial atmosphere reflecting the depth of academic and cultural relations between the two sides. H.E. the Consul General also had the opportunity to tour, accompanied by Mr. Bilal Erdoğan, the exhibition of Qatari calligrapher Rashid Mubarak Al-Muhannadi, held on the occasion of completing the transcription of the Holy Qur’an at the Süleymaniye Mosque—an outstanding artistic and spiritual achievement embodying the rich heritage of Arabic calligraphy and its civilizational significance.
